Jeremy Curry, Training Specialist from GW Micro, will be demonstrating
the new capabilities of the Window-Eyes screen reader:
Where: ATTC Conference Room, 102 Pomerene Hall.
When: 9 AM, Thursday, January 18.
Window-Eyes is the primary competition to JAWS in the United States.
It is the first screen reader to fully support the Firefox web browser
and has one of the strongest implementations of the emerging
Accessible Rich Internet Application (ARIA) W3C specification for
dynamic web applications.
Jeremy, who is legally blind, will be demonstrating improvements in
Window-Eyes 6.0 with Microsoft's new Vista operating system and
integration with Internet Explorer and Firefox.

You can download a copy of Window-Eyes 6.0 here:

The program will run perpetually in 30-minute periods, requiring a
reboot between sessions--not enough for real work but adequate for
testing and getting a feel for the application.
If you have any questions about this event, please write me. Note that
seating may be limited as the conference room can hold only 20 people.
Best,
ken
