[wac] usability/accessibility lab interest meeting Nov. 15, 2 p.m.

Dear WAC List Members,

Below is an email from Vicky Getis, the Director of the Digital Union.
As you may know, for a while now, the WAC has been involved in efforts
at the Digital Union to include a usability and accessibility testing
and demonstration lab as part of the Digital Union expansion at the
Science and Engineering Library.

We are trying to assess potential usage of the lab and have begun to
put dollar amounts to perceived hardware, software, and staffing
needs. We are seeking wide input into this process. If you are
interested or know colleagues who might be, please share this email
with them.

And please consider coming to the interest meeting Thursday, November
15, at 2 PM, at the Digital Union (3rd floor, Science and Engineering
Library).

I am writing to you as someone who might be interested in the
development of a usability/accessibility lab at Ohio State as part of
a planned expansion of the Digital Union. If you are not interested in
this issue, but know of someone who is, please pass this email
invitation on to them.

We are planning a meeting at the Digital Union (3rd floor of the
Science and Engineering Library) on Nov. 15 at 2 p.m. If you cannot
make it, but are still interested in the topic, please let me know.

The main purpose of the meeting is to discuss the proposed
accessibility/usability lab and what it might contain; we want to
ascertain interest and understand the research uses to which it might
be put. We are trying to gauge demand and usage patterns.

Again, please feel free to forward this invitation to others who might
be interested in the lab.
